By Mike Geoghegan - Being 44 years old, I grew up in the ennui days of Canada. By Karen Mullins - On January 12 an earthquake shook Haiti killing at least 200,000. A ray of hope for victims of the disaster came from a hospital in the city of Milot.
It has been six weeks since the world changed in Haiti. A tiny town, Milot, with a population of 65 swelled to nearly 400 people as victims were airlifted to its hospital from Port-au-Prince.

"My time in Milot was a life changing experience, one I will never forget or regret. Maybe it's why I became a PA late in life, for this very moment," she told me.

By Ravi Matah - Tiger Woods confessed his guilt in the presence of family members, few friends and hand-picked members of the media. The media were kept at bay and after the ‘confessional’ statement, no questions were permitted. It was an 11 minute apology and sounded like a very lengthy speech as we still don’t know what he actually wanted to say.

By Salim Jiwa - Patriotism, glamour, glitter, tears - that was inside the domed B.C. Place Stadium, and outside, there was a riot. And it was made abundantly clear that we are different as a nation - a working experiment we know will succeed - a mixture of nations interwoven within each other enveloped by common values and pride in the True North. It was evident that this city hosting the 2010 Games is fiercely multicultural.

By Mike Geoghegan - As anyone who has travelled any significant portion of the Trans Canada Highway knows, we have a significant infrastructure deficit in this country. By Ravi Matah - Life is full of onerous duties and accomplishments are neither easy nor very difficult. But one has to assert oneself to accomplish a specific task and put in one's best effort.

After a few years of performing office duties I got married and took care of the two kids, their education, their weddings and then one fine morning I got an order on my table that I was going to retire on January 31st.
My life went past like a machine and as it is said in any new car advertisement "0 to 60 in 10 seconds".
